We are pleased to offer this quite exceptional original RHD manual matching numbers E Type Roadster onto the market. JPM 855N was manufactured and despatched from Jaguar Cars Ltd, Browns Lane on 26th April 1974 and sent to Malaysia as a RHD vehicle complete with factory fitted air conditioning.JPM 855N was repatriated back into the UK in November 1987 by Mr Roger Leon of South East London and amongst the early paperwork, there is a letter addressed to Mr Leon from Jaguar Cars Ltd, (April 1988) which confirms the vehicle's heritage and matching numbers status. In April 1988, the vehicle was sold to Mr William May of Cranleigh, Surrey for £19,000, a princely sum in those days, who owned the vehicle for 27 years before he sold the vehicle to its last owner in Sussex in 2015.
This top class example records a mileage of just under 33,000 miles from new with a complete MOT history since it was repatriated into the UK. In addition, the history file carries a comprehensive batch of service invoices, many of which are from various Jaguar specialists and only serve to demonstrate the commitment by both the long term UK owners, to ensure the vehicle has been regularly serviced and maintained in an effort to keep her in first class condition. In late 2001, the history file confirms that the speedo was converted to miles by Southern Classics of Chertsey, Surrey as part of a cosmetic refurbishment. The mileage was confirmed at 26931 miles and can be verified through the MOT history.
JPM 855N is truly outstanding with a straight bodyshell with excellent panel gaps, a gleaming paint finish, absolutely first class interior and superb chrome work including beautiful unblemished chrome wire wheels. The Jaguar also comes with a rare factory top in lovely condition. The underside is beautifully presented and completely sealed as per original factory specification. On the road, the V12 is again outstanding, holding excellent oil pressure, super smooth engine and four speed gearbox. This is a first class example which will not look out of place in any collection. Magnificent in every respect and will not disappoint.
The vehicle comes with its original complete Jaguar issued handbook pack, two sets of original keys and every tax disc since its repatriation.
