Old barn find Fiat 1500 Barchetta rebodied by Touring. The car is in running and driving condition but will need a restoration.
The chassis is in rust-free condition. And will need very little to no attention. The body will need some attention and a respray to have it shiny and smooth again. Or… take care of the mechanical aspect and leave the car as much original as possible. This 1500 Barchetta is powered by its, 1500cc, 6-cylinder in-line engine with the matching 4-speed gearbox. It is quite a vivid car to drive with its lightweight body/shape. To feed the engine, a set of 3 solex carburetors has been placed. In order to stop the little car, you will find drum brakes in the front and rear set behind some nice alloy wheels with Michelin tires on top of it.
To drive the car, the driver and co-driver will sit tight in the bucket seat, who are rapped in burgundy leatherette. Sitting behind the wheel, you overlook the neat alloy dashboard that accepts just a few dials and operating knobs. Sober but stylish! It is a perfect cruiser car to enjoy, or even better, it would be great to enter some historical rallies as the power-to-weight ratio is just great. It might even be considered to enter great rallies such as the Mille Miglia or others.
