Not until 1959 did Fiat offer upper middle class models with 6-cylinder engines again: The 1800 and 2100. They were spacious limousines with six seats and one continuous bench in the front. The trapeze shaped body was considered ultra modern like in Mercedes’ “tail fin”, the Peugeot 404 and the Lancia Flaminia. But the engines were also newly developed: Six-cylinder with inclined overhead valves, cross-flow carburetor, high-lying camshaft and polysphere combustion chambers.
Our Fiat 2300 Limousine is one of the direct successors of this model with refined interior and higher performance. What makes this already very rare oldtimer even more special is its originality. It is unbelievable to sit in this witness to the 1960s! On vacation in Italy we typically only saw the Fiat 500 and 600 but sometimes also the luxury Fiat 2300. Rare already back then, our limouse is a true rarity today!
