Beschreibung

Few cars can claim to be as effortlessly charming, instantly recognisable, and downright fun as the Morris Mini Moke. Born in the 1960s as a lightweight, go-anywhere utility vehicle, the Moke quickly transcended its humble military origins to become a lifestyle icon. From the beaches of California to the cobbled streets of St Tropez, it won over everyone from holidaymakers to Hollywood royalty. Brigitte Bardot had one. The Beatles were spotted in them. And for decades, the Moke has remained a symbol of carefree, open-air motoring.

But this example isn't just any Moke - it's one of the most special and storied we've ever come across.

Commissioned by Hooper & Co. (the legendary British coachbuilders of Rolls-Royce and Bentley fame) for the wife of the company's owner, this Moke received a series of unique upgrades rarely, if ever, seen on the model. Among the Hooper refinements were bespoke doors (Mokes famously didn't come with them), a set of special alloy wheels, and hand-painted fine lines, making this one of the most unusual and exclusive Mokes to leave the factory.

After her passing, the car was passed to her daughter, who stored it untouched for over 20 years - a long period of careful preservation rather than neglect. Eventually, it was acquired directly from the family by a close friend, who undertook a complete cosmetic restoration to bring the car back to its original, show-stopping glory.

Mechanically, it retains the familiar and spirited Mini-derived A-Series engine - a wonderfully characterful motor that feels lively and eager, especially when paired with the Moke's featherweight body. It's a car that turns 30mph into a thrill ride, and does it with a smile on its face.

Today, this Moke presents in immaculate condition throughout - from the freshly detailed engine bay to the crisp interior and beautifully finished bodywork. It is, quite simply, one of the finest examples on the market, and a true collector-grade opportunity.
Mokes are rarely found in such well-preserved and thoughtfully rebuilt condition, let alone with this kind of pedigree and provenance. This is not just a cult classic - it is a coachbuilt icon, lovingly brought back to life, and ready for its next chapter.
