2008 | Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
Beschreibung
- Rare “Nero” with “Titanio” carbon buckets and bordeaux stitching
- One of just 500 Competiziones built, a truly special spec
- Powered by one of the best sounding V8s of its era
The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione stands as one of the most important modern cars ever produced by the brand. Its design openly recalls the legendary 33 Stradale, while its engineering follows a classical Alfa Romeo recipe: a front mounted engine, rear mounted gearbox and rear wheel drive, laid out in a true transaxle configuration. Developed as a no compromise halo car, the 8C was created with the help of Italy’s finest specialists, with Dallara responsible for the chassis, Brembo supplying the Formula One inspired braking system and Sparco developing the carbon fibre seats. Power comes from a naturally aspirated 4.7 litre V8, derived from Ferrari and Maserati, delivering 450 horsepower and, more importantly, one of the most distinctive and emotional engine sounds of its era. When presented, the impact was immediate: more than 1,400 orders were placed worldwide within weeks, and all 500 individually numbered cars were sold before production even began.
The car offered here is a 2008 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, supported by an Alfa Romeo Classiche Certificato di Origine. Factory records confirm production on 19 May 2008 and delivery on 27 June 2008. From new, this example was specified to a particularly high level, with a configuration that clearly sets it apart. It is finished in Nero, ordered with the optional Multi Layer Mica finish, a costly upgrade that gives the bodywork exceptional depth and presence. The interior is trimmed in Titanio leather with contrasting Bordeaux stitching, a rare and highly elegant combination that suits the character of the 8C perfectly. The cabin is further enhanced by the Luxury and Plus kits, adding additional leather surfaces and refined detailing throughout. Externally, the specification is completed by red painted brake calipers, while the interior features the optional carbon steering wheel kit. In addition, the car is accompanied by a matching grey leather Schedoni luggage bag, designed to fit neatly behind the seats. The car presents in excellent overall condition, with paintwork, interior and mechanical components exactly as one would expect from a carefully owned and properly maintained example. Maintenance has been carried out on schedule, and the service history is well documented with supporting invoices. The car is accompanied by the original German registration papers from its first owner, the official deregistration documents, the Certificate of Conformity and Belgian import validation. Importantly, the car is VAT qualifying, making it a particularly attractive opportunity for professional buyers and international collectors.
In this configuration and condition, the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione offered here stands out as a high quality, investment grade example of one of Alfa Romeo’s greatest modern achievements.
